Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy clean up.
Place the slice of bread in a large mixing bowl and pour the milk on top to soak in.
Add the remaining ingredients, except the marinara, and use your hands to mix the ingredients, but do not overmix.
Turn the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into an evenly thick loaf.
Bake for 20 minutes, spread the sauce on top, and then bake for 10-15 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Let the meatloaf rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
